Aria Tauraso is an undergraduate chemistry and physics major at UMBC. Before transferring to UMBC for the spring 2022 semester, she completed her Associates degree in STEM with a concentration in chemistry at Frederick Community College. After completing her undergraduate degree, she is hoping to obtain a Ph.D. in physical chemistry. During her time at Frederick Community College, she explored a variety of different subjects, taking a wide array of art classes in addition to her STEM courses. While she did not end up choosing to pursue art as a career, her passion for art persists. The SCIART program is a wonderful opportunity to explore the intersection point between science and art as it pertains to the field of art conservation. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games, learning new languages, crocheting, sewing, reading, and spending time with her cats and ferrets.
