Eddie Okojie is a rising junior at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Eddie is majoring in Health Administration and Public Policy and minoring in Biology. After completing her undergraduate studies, Eddie intends to pursue a medical degree. Eddie also works as a resident assistant during the semester for students who have interests and are majoring in STEM. The SCIART program drew her interest because of the interdisciplinary nature of the program and the opportunity to learn more about importance of art conservation. For the summer, Eddie is working under Dr. Cynthia Wagner along with fellow SCIART students, Amanda Fernandez and Claire Scott. This summer, Eddie is working to identify the source species of parchment produced from animal hide. She is looking forward to what she will learn this summer about the crossover between art and science.
