Lexi Wise is a rising senior at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Her previous research experience focuses on drug design, from the synthesis of viral inhibitors of influenza to broad-spectrum antiviral nucleoside analogs. Lexi is interested in medicinal chemistry, specifically drug development, as well as conservation chemistry. She is especially excited to explore the intersection between art and chemistry through conservation. When she’s not immersed in chemistry, Lexi dedicates her free moments to delving into the realm of art, often expressing herself through painting and drawing.
