Minhquan Tran is a computer engineering major at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is aiming to complete a Master’s degree at UMBC with the intention of eventually earning a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering. His long-term research project is to implement a novel neural probe to monitor brain activity and, for this summer, he is working on developing a wireless temperature sensor to be used for art conservation in museums; both projects are under the supervision of Dr. Gymama Slaughter in the Bioelectronics Lab. In his free time, he enjoys playing instruments, tennis, and video games.
