Rachal Rehling is an undergraduate student at UMBC pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Microbiology. She has demonstrated a passion for the sciences throughout her academic and professional career as a teaching assistant. She is known for her organization, hard work, and creativity. During the summer of 2023, Rachal will work in the SCIART program at UMBC, where she will perform computational research for art conservation purposes. Her role will involve using technology to analyze scientific data to help preserve and protect valuable works of art. Rachal is excited to embark on this new challenge and is eager to apply her knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact in art conservation research. In addition to her academic pursuits, Rachal enjoys knitting and diamond painting in her free time. She finds these to be a calming and creative outlet. Her love of the arts is a testament to her diverse interests and passion for the arts.
