Yaakov Meister is a rising senior at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) studying Mechanical Engineering. As part of SCIART, he will be working with Dr. Deepa Madan’s FlexMESHED lab at UMBC to study MXene electrochemical filters. In addition to his studies, Yaakov is a volunteer firefighter and EMT in Baltimore County. In his personal life, Yaakov enjoys going to concerts, reading about history, and going to museums.
